Adding Pictures.

Here is an example of what it looks like when you post a picture INSIDE a posting. This is good to use if you have a great picture to go with a source. To add a picture to your postings, simply click on the third tool from the left on the posting page and follow the instructions.


Adding Video to a Post

This is what it looks like when you attach a video INSIDE a post. You do this using the second tool from the left on your posting page. You must have the video saved on to your computer to add it to a post. Or you can click on EDIT HTML on the top right corner of your post and paste in the embed code where you want it to go.

You can embed video separately (outside of a post) using the HTML gadget. Look at the bottom of my screen to see what it looks like when you embed a video OUTSIDE of a post.

Blogging Instructions

To post something:
1. First type it in word and save it on your own computer.
2. Proofread it and then copy it
3. Sign in to your blog and click on CUSTOMIZE in the top right corner.
4. Click on the POSTING tab.
5. Click on NEW POST
6. Paste your text into the text box.
7. Add a picture or video by either clicking on the correct icon (if the image/video is saved on your computer) and follow the directions. If you have the embed code for a video click on EDIT HTML and paste the embed code.
8. You must hit SAVE and PUBLISH for your posting to show up.


To add anything that requires HTML codes (youtube videos, backgrounds, gadgets, etc)

1. Click on CUSTOMIZE in the top right corner
2. Click on LAYOUT
3. Click on PAGE ELEMENTS
4. Click on ADD A GADGET on the right side of the page
5. Select HTML
6. Paste in the HTML code that you've gotten from your source. In other words, if you want to embed a video, go to YouTube, find the video and then copy the embed code. Come back to this HTML box and paste it in. THen the video will appear on your site. The same goes for backgrounds and other gadgets as well.
